Fairmount Fire Official Receives National Award

At a recent fire service professional convention event in Dallas, TX, a local fire official was honored with a national fire service award for his contributions towards enhancing fire and emergency service professionalism throughout the country.

Neil Rosenberger, Division Chief and Fire Marshal of the Fairmount Fire Protection District (FFPD) in Golden, Colorado, was recognized by the Center for Public Safety Excellence (CPSE) with their Ambassador of the Year award.

Chief Rosenberger was recognized for his outstanding support and relentless promotion of fire and emergency service accreditation and professional credentialing on behalf of the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI) Technical Advisory Program.

The CFAI organization is committed to assisting fire and emergency service agencies achieve organizational and professional excellence through its strategic self-assessment model and accreditation process for continuous quality improvement and enhanced service delivery to the communities they serve. The strategic accreditation process provides a well-documented and internationally recognized benchmark system for measuring the delivery and quality of fire and emergency services.

Alan Fletcher, FFPD Fire Chief, remarked on the award, “Chief Rosenberger has been instrumental in assisting and providing mentorship to many fire service agencies throughout the country in achieving strategic international accreditation and thereby improving the emergency services they provide to their communities. This is another great example of how Fairmount Fire, a small combination fire department in Colorado, has a significant positive impact on the fire service at a national level.”
