CenturyLink gives grants to local teachers

CenturyLink, in partnership with the Public Education Business Coalition, is helping to connect teachers with technology in the classroom. The CenturyLink Clarke M. Williams Foundation’s Teachers and Technology grant program opened its application process Oct. 1, 2014 for teachers in CenturyLink’s local service areas who want to innovatively implement technology in classrooms to increase student achievement. Teachers, Craig Vander Laan and Linda Rice from Van Arsdale Elementary in Arvada received a grant for iPads in their 3rd grade class. Teachers, Jamie Leeburg, Brad Hull and Marc Nestorick at O’Connell Middle School in Lakewood received grants for iPads in PE class. Full-time K-12 classroom teachers in public or private schools in CenturyLink residential service areas are eligible to apply.
