His Aunt Overheard Another Boy Bullying Him. What She Did Is Completely Awesome.

Bullying shouldn’t be tolerated, bottom line. Children should be taught to treat each other with respect, not aggression. After this high school student was shown disdain and disrespect, hundreds of children did something amazing for him.

Bullies make us lose our faith in humanity. But what these children at Salem High School did restores our faith in people.

Hasley Parkerson was having lunch with his aunt when she heard other kids tormenting him. A bully said that Hasley didn’t have any friends and no one liked him. When his Aunt asked what that was about, he replied that it wasn’t the first time. He was bullied often.

To prove that bully wrong, his aunt asked her Facebook friends to show up and prove to Hasley and everyone else that people truly care about her nephew. More than 100 people showed.

Car after car showed up until South Salem’s parking lot became a traffic jam. After seeing so many people display kindness and compassion, Hasley felt much more confident.

“Sorry, I have too many friends to think I’m being bullied,” Hasley said. He is no longer going to be a victim. And the best part? The bully himself showed up that day.

With a hundred people standing behind Halsey, the bully had a change of heart. He high-fived Halsey and said: “I apologize. I apologize. I take it back.”
