Golden Museums news for October!

For a little town Golden has big history, and the Golden History Center has a new master plan in place to address it. The plan includes a timeline exhibit for a general orientation to Golden’s past, and much more. Time Tumbler is the working title for the first of several new long-term exhibits under development. Featured here each month will be a date important to Golden or Colorado history to whet your appetite.
The Astor House Museum artifacts are being carefully packed and moved in anticipation of the dusty construction which will soon begin. Read the whole story online and watch the video explanation of the scheduled work.

Also, new hours at the Golden History Center are now in effect: 10 am to 4:30 pm every day except Monday.

Looking for another way to give?

If you enjoy greeting people, learning, teaching, and selling great merchandise, we need your help. Visitor Services Volunteers are needed for Saturdays. Volunteers need to be available during the day between 10 am and 4:30 pm, and need to commit to at least two four-hour shifts per month.

Also, we are seeking an eight to ten foot artificial Christmas tree for a holiday display. If you have a tree to donate or loan, please give Shelly a call at 303-277-8713, or fill out the form online.
