Courage Walk for Crime Victims in Golden

The 15th Annual Courage Walk is Saturday, April 19th at the Jefferson County Courts and Administration Building, 100 Jefferson County Parkway, in Golden. Victim advocates in Jefferson County host this event each year in honor of victims of crime during National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. This year’s theme is “Justice for Victims. Justice for All.”

Registration and a continental breakfast begin at 10:00 a.m. The walk begins at 11:00 a.m. At the end of the walk, a short ceremony will be held at the Courage Garden where white doves will be released in celebration and honor of the courage of victims of crime. The one-mile walk is wheelchair accessible and dogs on leases are also welcome.

Donations are not required for participation at this event, however, proceeds raised will go to the maintenance of the Courage Garden, training for victim advocate volunteers and to help victims of crime and other traumatic events in our community. A registration fee of $10 is suggested.
