After a gruelling loss against the Raiders on Sunday and the Broncos (2-2) look to bounce back quickly after the loss. Indianapolis (1-2-1) arrives in town to play “Thursday Night Football.” In a week that is short, both teams will aim to move past their Week 4 shortcomings and set up for a prime time game. The Broncos have earned their opening two games played in the stadium of Empower Field at Mile High They hope to continue their success on the home field when they take on the Colts for the first time since 2016.

The Colts exchanged quarterback Matt Ryan, an all-time Pro Bowler, and the 2016 league MVP, during offseason time to boost their offense. Ryan was a part of his first 14 NFL seasons playing for the Falcons which led Atlanta to a Super Bowl appearance in 2016. Since the beginning of the season Ryan has developed strong chemistry between wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. He leads the Colts in receiving and reception yards. Back-up runner Jonathan Taylor, who held the rushing title in 2021, ranks sixth in the NFL for rushing yards in 2022, but the Colts have ruled him out Wednesday with an ankle injury. In his stead runners Nyheim Hinescould be expected to see a greater workload. The cornerback Pat Surtain II is another player who will showcase his talents in a game against Pittman and outside linebacker Bradley Chubband defensive end Dre’Mont Jones is likely to try to put pressure on Ryan.

The other end of the spectrum, the Broncos are expected for more consistency following a strong first half against the Raiders. Quarterback Russell Wilson has shown flashes of his vintage mobility through the last two games. He also scored the first touchdown he rushed of the season in Week 4. Wide receivers Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler each totaled more than 50 yards in receiving against the Raiders And Wilson will be looking to continue moving the ball about against a Colts defense that gives up the 10th-lowest amount of receiving yards for the league on a per-game basis. Pro Bowl cornerback Kenny Moore who was the number. 82 in the NFL Top 100 player rankings in the lead-up to the season will pose a challenge for the Broncos’ wide receivers. The offensive line of Denver will try its best to contain the 2020 All-Pro first-team defensive tackle DeForest Buckner as he has proven to be a major force in the fight against both the pass as well as the running since the 2016.
