Breaking: Storm closures across Jeffco today

A spring storm blanketed the Front Range today. Here is a roundup of closures today across Jefferson County.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the area, in effect until 6 p.m. Total accumulation for most metro areas estimated for around 10 inches.

Jeffco

County office buildings and courts – closed

Jefferson County School District – Adminsitrative office, enrichment programs, and transportation programs closed

Jefferson County Public Libraries – closed

Arvada

City of Arvada – offices closed

Arvada Center – Job fair is cancelled. Rescheduled date to be determined

Apex Park and Recreation facilities – Closing at 1 p.m., day camp is also closing and staff is requesting parents to pick up children as close to 1 p.m. as possible 

Kristos Epicurean Market – Closed due to weather conditions

AlphaGraphics – All metro locations closing at noon

Indiana Street – Heavy traffic due to semis 

Highway 93 – being east rerouted through Leyden Rock

Peace Luthern Church – closed

Arvada YMCA – closed

Golden

School of Mines – all classes, offices, and athletics cancelled

City of Golden – Community Center and city offices closed

Golden History Museums – evening flag celebration event rescheduled for Thursday

Lakewood

City of Lakewood offices closed at noon. Lakewood Cultural Center closed at 2 p.m.All City of Lakewood recreation centers and Wilbur Rogers Center closed at noon. All fitness classes and camps at all recreation centers canceled.All classes and camps at Lakewood Cultural Center canceled.All classes and VOA meal sites at Clements Community Center canceled.Bear Creek Lake Park closed at noon. The Shamrock Full Moon Hike is canceled for this evening.Babysitting at Carmody Recreation Center canceled.Water Safety class at Green Mountain Recreation Center canceled.Clements Community Center closed.All classes and camps at Washington Heights Arts Center have been canceled.
