Father’s Day at the Colorado Railroad Museum

” June is bustin’ out all over! All over the meadow and the hill!
Buds’re bustin’ outa bushes, And the rompin’ river pushes, Ev’ry little wheel that wheels beside the mill!”
One of my favorite songs from the Broadway musical Carousel- it describes what’s been happening around the Denver Metro Area – the rain has created a lush, green landscape and “rompin’ rivers”.  It’s a beautiful time to visit the Colorado Railroad Museum!
This Saturday and Saturday, June 27, we’ve got a great lineup of Cowboy poetry, cowboy music, and Old West storytelling. Come out for some good ol’ Cowboy Culture!  It’s free with your admission!
Bring dad out on Saturday, June 20 for a special Father’s Day celebration and Auto Show.  We’ll have all kinds of hot rods and classic cars on display, as well as a hot dog eating contest, magic shows and of course, train rides behind our historic steam locomotive No. 346.
You’ll be seeing lots of changes in the next few months – one of the most  visible will be the construction of a large permanent canopy that will provide venues for large groups, corporate functions, and guests looking for a shady place to relax in the picnic grounds.  We are very excited to get this online in July!
It’s always a great time to comet out and “lose track of time” at www.ColoradoRailroadMuseum.org
