My Name Is… Mira Claire of Golden

Always liked GoldenI’ve lived in Golden for almost two years. I’ve always liked Golden — I lived in Denver for about 20 years, but I grew up in Durango, so I like the small-town feel of Golden. I also like all the nature around Golden.I’m a single mom, and I have two kids who go to school in Golden. My daughter is in high school, and my son is in the sixth grade at Compass. They like Golden, and being able to go downtown and see their friends.’Have You Ever…’My book, “Have You Ever…” was published in January. It’s a children’s book full of questions that prompt curiosity. It is a book to spark creative thinking.It just kind of came out of me. It was super fun and I enjoyed the whole process. Besides that, I have my two kids and I’ve always enjoyed reading children’s books. I love the wonderment that kids have. It’s my first children’s book, and there will be more to come because I enjoyed it so much.I got my undergraduate degree in art and creative writing. “Have You Ever…” blends the two well. It’s a very artsy book — I also did all the illustrations.The other book I’m in is called “Messages That Matter.” It’s a compilation of about 20 different authors. Mine is called “Paralyzed by Perfect.” It gives tools to be more accepting of yourself.Alive-inside livingI do lots of different things. Everything that I do, I enjoy doing. I also clean and organize houses for people, I’m a life coach, I work in the healing arts and I teach classes to help people have an easier life. I get to watch people who are feeling really heavy live more inspired lives. I call it alive-inside living.I’m an artist by nature. Being an artist gives me the excuse to be creative.I believe art should be easily accessible in every home. But art has many different forms — it doesn’t always have to be the fine arts. It can be how you parent, what kind of friend you are, or cooking. It’s more about being creative. I think creativity is really important — it gives us that unique spark that we each have inside of us.
