Anti-vaxxer Rob Schneider pulled as State Farm spox; Sharyl Attkissson defends

We haven’t seen much of comedian and anti-vaxxer Rob Schneider on screen lately, and investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson isn’t thrilled to learn his ads for State Farm have been pulled over his views on vaccines following a social media campaign that encouraged supporters to post on State Farm’s Facebook and Twitter pages.

If this is true, I'll dump them, too. "State Farm Dumped Rob Schneider for Vaccine Views: Now I’m Dumping State Farm http://t.co/VD25Qfgd61

Brian Shilhavy, Health Impact News Editor, writes:

According to PR Week, State Farm has decided to drop an ad starring comedian Rob Schneider from its rotation due to his “anti-vaccine views” after a social media outcry.

I just sent an email to my agent, letting her know how disappointed I was to learn that State Farm had caved into the pharmaceutical and vaccine industry, an industry rife with fraud and corruption, simply because one of their actors in their advertisements sees fit to warn parents on the dangers of vaccines.

(Pharma propagandists & surrogates desperately pull $$ strings to exert their influence to control the message on vaccines.)

There may be a slight sense of desperation among the vaccine propagandists after a CDC senior scientist said that he and other CDC officials

intentionally hid vaccine-autism link. http://t.co/gM8DuoLcFC

And then the head of CDC vaccine safety acknowledged that vaccines may "rarely" trigger autism. http://t.co/jCtk41xUen

The facts shouldn't frighten people: it's a pathway to a safer, better system for all.

There's something uniquely nefarious about efforts to censor even the mention of a legitimate debate about an issue.

— Sharyl Attkisson (@SharylAttkisson) September 23, 2014

Who thinks it's appropriate to censor views that aren't "correct" in the view of the powerful?

— Sharyl Attkisson (@SharylAttkisson) September 23, 2014

What happened to airing different science and opinions and allowing the public to make up their own minds?

— Sharyl Attkisson (@SharylAttkisson) September 23, 2014

Who wants self-appointed censors to decide what they should and shouldn't hear by bullying those who veer off message?

— Sharyl Attkisson (@SharylAttkisson) September 23, 2014

If you like the powerful keeping info from you because they think you might make the "wrong" decision (i.e. different than theirs)–then you

— Sharyl Attkisson (@SharylAttkisson) September 23, 2014

probably shouldn't read anything I write.

— Sharyl Attkisson (@SharylAttkisson) September 23, 2014

I don't care what you decide, I'd just like you to first have info that others are trying to keep from you.
