Letter: Presidential candidate debate

We felt obligated to sit through the debate, instead of the more sophisticated Sonny and Cher re-run. The Donald missed the boat by not taking advantage of Hillary’s tax-the-rich manifesto (Is anybody working for poor man?). Hillary dragged out the decades-old pejorative, “trickle-down economics” to belittle Reagan’s supply-side economics, which nearly doubled federal revenue, while dramatically cutting taxes and leaving money for people to spend. 

Donald didn’t direct enough shouting toward outrageous corporation taxes, the reason for migration out of the U.S. All we got were embarrassing Hilliaryisms, aimed at the economically illiterate, and a restrained, ineffective Trump.
