Golden High welcomes students from 22 countries

Golden High School hosted 30 foreign exchange students from 22 different countries on Jan. 28. The students, who come from all continents of the world, are part of an international exchange program called ASF-USA. Their exchange year is being spent in different parts of Colorado, but they came to Golden for the high school’s international day.

The day included a special school assembly and exchange students spent some time in classrooms giving presentations on their home countries. Also announced was the winner of a full AFS Global Prep scholarship: Golden junior Emily Nguyen will have an opportunity to study abroad in any country she chooses.

On Jan. 29, the exchange students toured the Colorado state capitol and met Denver Mayor Michael Hancock.
