BREAKING – Suspect sought in home invasion stabbing

Golden Police have released the name of a third suspect wanted on suspicion of being involved in a home invasion in Golden on Monday, May 16.
The man is 20-year old Cody Aaron Jones. Police report he is currently on probation for 2nd degree burglary charges, obstructing a peace officer, theft, and also has an active nationwide warrant for his arrest on another case.
A Golden resident ended up in the hospital after defending his home from a home invasion.Two suspects — a 21-year-old male identified as Caleb Williams, and a 17-year-old juvenile male — are in custody of the Golden police. Police are also searching for a possible fourth suspect, a female, who is believed to be driving the getaway car.
The incident occurred at about 9 p.m. May 16 when three people invaded a home in the 1900 block of Washington Avenue. According to police, the suspects were expecting to find $ 10,000 in cash and drugs. However, they went to the wrong house.
When the victims, a husband and wife, Jesse and Jessica Swift, opened the door, the three armed men pushed their way inside.
While Jesse Swift was involved in an altercation with all three suspects in an attempt to stop them, Jessica Swift was able to run out of the house and call 911 from a neighbor’s home.Both the Swifts are teachers at Bell Middle School in Golden.
Golden Police arrived in less than three minutes from the time the 911 call was received, and discovered Jesse Swift and the suspect Williams suffering from stab wounds.
Both were transported to the hospital. The suspect is under police surveillance at the hospital.Jesse Swift is in critical condition from stab wounds to his kidney and a punctured lung along with several other lacerations, but is expected to survive.
