Biden in Va.: ‘They’re going to put you back in chains,’ ‘can win NC again’

http://twitter.com/#!/tobyharnden/status/235397081177673728

Vice president Joe Biden spoke in Danville, Va., today and resorted to disgusting race-baiting comments. Will the press swoon like they did over his “clean and articulate” speech to the NAACP? Our Magic 8 Ball says “most likely.”

Breaking: Obama campaign dispatches senile old man who doesn't know what state he's in to babble slavery metaphors.

WHAT? RT @tobyharnden: Er…RT @ByronTau: Biden: "…They're going to put you back in chains…"

Damn. This is over the top. RT @DRUDGE_REPORT: BIDEN: 'They're going to put y'all back in chains'… http://t.co/hPpULkgb

More from The Washington Free Beacon:

VICE PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN: They’ve said it. Every Republican’s voted for it. Look at what they value and look at their budget and what they’re proposing. Romney wants to let the—he said in the first 100 days, he’s going to let the big banks once again write their own rules–unchain Wall Street. They’re going to put y’all back in chains. He’s said he’s going to do nothing about stopping the practice of outsourcing…

Hey, what’s a little reprehensible race-baiting and slavery metaphors when The One and his idjit VP have an election to win! New tone, shmew tone. Demonizing fellow Americans and trying to use and abuse minorities is totally acceptable, if one has a (D) next to one’s name. And, you know, has the press licking his boots.

Biden probably told his black audience that Romney would put them "in chains" and then praised Obamacare with a straight face.

— Seth (@dcseth) August 14, 2012

Yep. But that wasn’t all. In addition to the above gross display, he had several gaffe moments, as always.

Why cover for him? RT @CarrieNBCNews Biden in Danville (close to the border, but in VA): "With your help, we can win North Carolina again!"

— Derek Hunter (@derekahunter) August 14, 2012

Biden doesn’t know decency and he also doesn’t know where he is. Yet, the press tries to excuse it. Why? That’s what happens when you can’t see past the huge buckets of water one is carrying. Citizens, however, see right through it and call the vice president out on his idiocy.

"We're doing just fine," Biden says at rally in Danville, Va. (No, seriously. They're claiming this. Again.)

— Ellen Carmichael (@ellencarmichael) August 14, 2012

“Doing just fine,” y’all! If you can escape the “chains” and the math witch, natch.

LOL Biden in #VIRGINIA : "With your help, we can win North Carolina again!" #NC #tcot #ocra #gop #p2 #dem #News flash: It will be #RedNC

@MoreTimeForMom Don't thank me ma'am. Thank Biden. He's the comic genius here.

What desperation sounds like "@cnsnews: Biden: ‘They’re Gonna Put You All Back in Chains’ http://t.co/hxKNl6Qq"

— Amanda Carpenter (@amandacarpenter) August 14, 2012

Bingo. Running scared.

Biden tells minority audience "Romney will put you back in chains", and a VA audience that "with your help we can win NC". #brilliant

— Rick Moore (@RickMoore) August 14, 2012

Hey, I've just been told that Danville – that's Danville VA, Joe Biden. Not NC – was briefly a Confederate capital. Feeling nostalgic, Joe?

— Moe Lane (@moelane) August 14, 2012

So Obama has deployed lumbering moron Joe Biden to make the strident, Malcolm X style racial appeals he doesn't dare himself?

— iLoveScienceSexually (@AceofSpadesHQ) August 14, 2012

Ari Fleischer brings it all home. Talk about double standards.

Biden, who once likened Tparty 2terrorism, 2day said, "Romney is ‘going to put y’all back in chains". Who's the extremist??

— Ari Fleischer (@AriFleischer) August 14, 2012

The press pounded Palin when she talked about "blood libel". What will they do about Biden's "chains" remark?

— Ari Fleischer (@AriFleischer) August 14, 2012

The press pounded Bachmann for getting Elvis' birthday wrong. What will they do to Biden after what he said today??

— Ari Fleischer (@AriFleischer) August 14, 2012

In addition to the obvious gaffe, it's the chains part of what Biden said that's objectionable.

— Ari Fleischer (@AriFleischer) August 14, 2012

And these Twitter users sum it all up.

Pretty solid Biden outing. Got name of state wrong and said opposition will "..put y'all back in chains again." What a weapon.

— Tucker Martin (@jtuckermartin) August 14, 2012

RT @JustenCharters: I'm fully convinced Joe Biden has eaten silica packets.

— robert (@ProgressiveAle) August 14, 2012

Reminder: Barack Obama made Joe Biden the Vice President, and is fully accountable for that decision.

— John Hayward (@Doc_0) August 14, 2012

Where did they get this guy? RT @dcexaminer: Biden in Virginia: ‘With you, we can win North Carolina again’ http://t.co/5VBKq1he

— David Freddoso (@freddoso) August 14, 2012

Remember, this is the man whom the Obama campaign said they would rather have on its team than “any of the motley crew” from which Romney will choose a running mate.

Is it any wonder he had such a crowd fail yesterday?

VP Biden in Durham, NC on the contrast between President Obama and Romney-Ryan: “It comes down to a fundamentally different set of values.”

— Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) August 14, 2012

Yes, Joe. And voters don’t like your set.

Romney/Ryan’s event in North Carolina:

Obama campaign in a panic: Romney drew crowds of 10-13K in NC. Biden today in NC drew 600 people.

Not doing fine, Joe!

Update: Obama campaign says President Obama agrees with Biden’s contemptible remarks.
