Bicyclist Seriously Injured In Crash With Pickup

At 1:28 p.m. Golden Police were notified of a traffic crash involving a pickup truck and a bicyclist at the intersection of 13th and Ford Streets. Three officers assigned to the Traffic Enforcement Unit were on duty at the time and responded to the scene.

When the officers arrived, they found the bicyclist was seriously injured and rendered aid. The bicyclist, a 62 year old male and a Golden resident, was transported to the hospital where he remains in critical but stable condition.

The 35 year old male driver of the pickup truck remained on scene and assisted with the investigation. Any possible charges are pending a thorough investigation. No names are being released at this time.
